We are on the outskirts of the renowned village of Hope and the end of its own access lane just off the road to Edale. It lies a few hundred yards from the Cheshire Cheese Inn, which serves bar meals, and approximately one and a half miles from the centre of the village where there are local shopping facilities, several Public Houses serving bar meals, a variety of bus and train services, and all surrounded by the magnificent countryside of the Peak District National Park. The area offers a great deal for the country lover; walking (many routes from the door), climbing, horse riding, sight seeing, hang gliding, gliding (The Derbyshire and Lancashire gliding club is nearby and offer introductory lessons and flights), bird-watching,or simply enjoying the peace and quiet, you will find this the perfect place to take a break. Close by can be found: Castleton with its Caverns (show caverns and adventure caving) and ancient Peveril Castle. Hathersage has an outdoor swimming pool and has Little John’s grave in its churchyard. Edale and the start of the Pennine Way. Spa town of Buxton. Market town of Bakewell famous for its Puddings. Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs, where training for the Dambusters raid took place during World War Two. The Stately Homes of Chatsworth (the spectacular home of the Duke of Devonshire) Haddon Hall and Eyam Hall. The Cottages The Old Dairy ONE BEDROOMED cosy cottage comfortably furnished offering superb views over the surrounding countryside. The cottage annexes to our farmhouse and benefits from its own private garden and patio area. Lobby, hallway, bathroom/wc (shower over bath), w.c., fitted kitchen with dining table, bedroom with double bed, and upstairs is the sitting room affording the panoramic views down the valley. Old Dairy Bedroom Old Dairy Lounge Winhill Cottage TWO BEDROOMED tastefully furnished barn conversion benefitting from its peaceful rural position, an ideal place to unwind and relax. All on a single level entering into the hall, spacious open plan lounge/dining room with feature wood burning stove, well equiped kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedded bedroom, bathroom/wc (shower over bath), own patio area.
