Welcome to Fernydale Farm Bed and Breakfast (B&B)
We offer quality Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast (B&B) accommodation in Earl Sterndale, near Buxton, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District.
"Peaceful and away from it all" is the theme at Fernydale Farm, nestling under Jericho Hill in the small village of Earl Sterndale.
This is a working farm - we breed and sell Holstein cattle, which we exhibit regularly in shows.
We are in a beautiful part of the country and have a fine position, with spectacular views of nearby Chrome Hill, Parkhouse Hill and Roundhill.
We are a short distance from Buxton, famous for its spa water and festivals. We are also within a 20 minute drive of the colourful market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell.
Earl Sterndale is well placed for visiting Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Dove Dale and all the major sights of the Peak District National Park.

The Rooms
We have three guest rooms, all furnished to a very high standard of comfort and featuring pine furniture.
The first of these is a newly-refurbished and well-proportioned double room with king sized bed and 26inch flat screen TV, plus en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating and a bath with shower over.
Our second room is a spacious twin-bedded room, which can also be arranged as a double room.
Our third bedroom is a family room, with a double bed and a single bed.
All rooms are en-suite, with a fully-tiled bathroom equipped with shower, wash basin and WC. Towels are provided.
All rooms are fully centrally heated and equipped with colour remote-controlled TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
In the morning, enjoy breakfast in our dining room which has a fine view across to the spectacular hills of the Upper Dove valley - Chrome Hill and Parkhouse hill especially.
Our breakfast menu is extensive and includes local produce such as Derbyshire oatcakes as well as vegetarian options. We also offer evening meals and packed lunches.
In the evenings, relax in our cosy conservatory, which has panoramic views across the dramatic Derbyshire countryside.
A range of information about local places of interest is provided, along with local maps, details of local walks, and a selection of board games.
We are pet-friendly and also offer secure storage space for bicycles. For small children we have a travel cot and a high chair.
Tariff
Bed and Breakfast per person per night is from £30.00 to £38.00.
Bed and Breakfast with dinner is from £45.00 per person per night to £53.00.

“Brilliant B&B”
We (myself and Husband in a double room and our son and my Mother in a twin) were very pleasantly surprised by the clean, well appointed rooms and beautiful en-suites with M&S toiletries.
Yasmin recommended us a good local pub - The Oak at Hurdlow - where we had a lovely evening meal.
Sunday morning came and we all thoroughly enjoyed a beautifully cooked breakfast with a huge amount of choice.
Sadly we had only booked for one night but we certainly aim to go back there. The farm is in a lovely setting and our son was given a guided tour - showing him the cows and calves, which he really enjoyed.
We would highly recommend this B&B.
